Spiritual and Material Archetypes

Filed under: Uncategorized — remedyastrology @ 8:39 am

Siva is the energy of consciousness. Krishna is materiality. They are the dance of duality.

The Indian tradition uses archetypal energies extensively. These archetypes are personifications of energies, and allow us to connect with the supreme truths which underlying our world. Bring these truths into your life – in a personal way – and experience entirely new dimensions to your life.. Personify them. Allow them to become intimate: friends, teachers, lovers, fathers, mothers.

Through our connections with the we change. Miracles come upon us.

Gemini and Cancer

Filed under: Vedic Astrology — remedyastrology @ 6:56 am

Gemini: the consumate salesperson
Cancer: the chatty friend with the sympathetic heart

Often Gemini people are the connectors, the communicators, even the software designers. Quick learning and curious minds are hallmarks. Because they pick up lessons quickly, that are able to imitate and share with ease.

The Cancer person is emotive, and will lend an ear to your feelings. They themselves feel strongly and can use this open part of themselves to bond with others. In the West we associate these traits with femininity and maternal caring. Be careful not to wound someone who is so open, though.

Aries and Taurus

Is your lagna, Sun or Moon in Aries in the Indian system of astrology? According to Path of Light by James Kelleher, people with a strong Aries theme in their horoscopes are learning about themselves in this lifetime. Often they are learning to go beyond their individual drives and desires, perhaps studying more universal principles.  Gosh, moving beyond my ego – sounds like a great idea!

In the same book Jim says that people with a strong Taurus theme are learning about material comforts.  Perhaps they are learning to move beyond the seduction of the material world or realize that it’s not real. They do this while maintaining harmony with the people around them. Harmony is a big theme for this sign. And likewise, I love harmony and could always use more in my life. Going beyond the illusion of the material world – sign me up!

Interesting how ones can see these themes in themselves despite having no key planets in these zodiac signs….
